| Severe Sin was founded in late fall 2005 by Steven Van Wilder (Swa) and Sven De Bruyne.
Both were looking out for a new band, so they decided to form something together. At first the name Heartrose Beauty was chosen for the band, but eventually it turned out that the name didn't really fit with the music, while Severe Sin did! They wrote 2 complete songs together in about 2 months, and decided the style of those two songs was the genre they both wanted to play.
Then the search for the other musicians began, a few guitar and bass players came to give it a try, but due to several problems (transportation, gear, ... ) none of them were able to join the lineup.
A friend of Steven, named Steven Villé, said he would like to come and play guitars, and since he had skills, motivation and the right gear, he joined the band. | We still missed a few persons (like a bass player and a singer). We contacted Mattijs (who's brother played guitar in Sven's previous band) and he was really excited to give it a try. A few weeks later Mattijs became our bass player!
It took some time to find someone with the right vocals, to say the least.We searched for a couple of months, untill friend of Sven, Jeroen, said he was searching a band like ours to sing in. After hearing a small record of his voice, there was no doubt we wanted Jeroen as our singer! Unfortunately (for us, that is) Jeroen found a job, and did not have the time to keep singing. As we speak, we have two people who are willing to become our singer. It is not sure how it will all turn out, and who we will pick, but you can expect this biography to be finished very soon ! |
